ROV offshore services
Remotely Operated Vehicles - ROVROV’s are unmanned submersibles (robots on a tether) which are operated from the surface. ROV's are used for numerous subsea tasks, from diver observation to subsea construction work, e.g. eyeball (observation) class or Workclass ROV (WROV). To fly the ROV the pilot will use sonar, multibeam, (gyro) compass, lights and video cameras mounted on the ROV to see and navigate to the site during day and night. When a survey team is present on board of a vessel or platform / oilrig the ROV can also navigate to the worksite using USBL or LBL.
